The action claims that Tarascio was replaced with a less qualified woman. His attorney said, "It's a tough thing for him to be told that the reason why he was being moved from one position to another was that Jimmy Fallon preferred to take direction from a woman."

CASEY AFFLECK'S REP SLAMS SUIT: Casey Affleck's rep is continuing to lash out about the woman suing his client for sexual harassment. Ken Sunshine said, "This lawsuit is a transparent pressure tactic by someone trying to get more than she's entitled to. MOVIE OPENING: 'CATS & DOGS: THE REVENGE OF KITTY GALORE'

Opening today (July 30th) is the new children's movie, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, starring Bette Midler, Chris O'Donnell, Christina Applegate and James Marsden. The sequel to 2001's Cats & Dogs, follows the animals as they try to stop Kitty Galore from getting her revenge and taking over the world.

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is rated PG and has a running time of 1 hour and 20 minutes. The movie was directed by Brad Peyton.

James Marsden says his character is unpredictable: "Diggs is a German shepherd and he is -- how do I describe him, he's got all the confidence in the world, maybe not the best judgement all of the time. He's a maverick, he's a little unpredictable, a bit of a liability but at the core he's got a good heart and a lot of ability."

Christina Applegate says her character is willing to befriend dogs: "Catherine is an undercover agent at MEOWS which sort of like the cat CIA, I guess you would call it and she's just a tough no nonsense, smart, bright, fearless cat, you know, I think who's gone through life with that stereotype of hating dogs, that's just the way that you know you're raised, but is willing to sort of open up and let them in, let the dog in."

Bette Midler explains why her character, Kitty Galore, wants revenge: "She in the course of her work fell into a vat of hair remover and lost all of her hair and became a kind of a cat non grata I mean people didn't really want to be around her, because she had lost all her hair, and she was very very distressed especially when her own family basically kicked her out on Christmas Eve. So she decides she's going to take her revenge. So I think the whole motivation, the whole thrust of her movement through the whole picture is getting even with everyone who done her wrong."

The following clips are from Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore:

Diggs and Butch get some new gear: (Butch) "Say Peek, you got anything that actually works?" (Peek) "Follow me. Butch, your new collar's fitted with the latest rawhide 7 communication package, (unintelligible), neon laser, grappling hook and liver scented breath freshener. And this is yours." (Diggs) "Sweet! What's it do?" (Peek) "Oh, holds your nametag on your neck." (Sam) "It looks like you lost some weight." (Diggs) "I'm sorry my name's Diggs and I always look this good."

Kitty Galore tells the others her plan: (Kitty Galore) "My name is Kitty Galore." (Dog) "Ew, is that even a cat?" (Kitty Galore) "In two days I will unlease a sound only those drool bag dogs can hear, a sound so devastating, so terrifying it will drive all dogs completely insane. Humans will be forced to get rid of them and without their protection, I will enslave all mankind!" (Owner) "Kitty I'm home!" (Kitty Galore) "No one will stop me from ruling the world! Kitty Galore out!"

(Mr. Tinkles) "Look, I can't help you find other villains. It's a professional courtesy thing. I'd be (unintelligible) laughed at. I'd lose my pension, however, I will say this. A cat's eye reveals everything." (Dog) "What's that supposed to mean?" (Mr. Tinkles) "It's a riddle. Sherlock. I was trying to be myster -- oh nevermind."

MOVIE OPENING: 'CHARLIE ST. CLOUD'

Opening today (July 30th) is the new drama, Charlie St. Cloud, starring Zac Efron, Kim Basinger, Amanda Crew and Ray Liotta. The film follows a young sailor, Charlie St. Cloud, played by Efron, whose life gets thrown off track after tragedy strikes.

Charlie St. Cloud is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 1 hour and 50 minutes. The film was directed by Burr Steers.

Zac Efron says he was able to connect with his character: "The coolest part of the movie for me at this point has really been connecting with the character on a whole different level. It's been fun kind of stepping into Charlie's shoes and playing a guy who's down and out, and kind of you know down on his luck and doesn't really have much to live for. He's kind of just numb. That was interesting for me, I tend to play characters that are more energetic and full of life."

Kim Basinger says playing a mom who's lost a child is frightening: "I think it's a given, if you've lost a child and I've been through this a couple times, movie wise, and you are a mom, it's just a really frightening place to go."

Zac Efron on Charlie's role in in younger brother Sam's life: "Charlie's more than an older brother to Sam, he's almost like kind of like a father figure to him. He's a mentor and takes good care of him and he's trying to groom a strong younger brother, a kid who can fight for himself and can handle himself in a world where opportunities aren't handed to you."

The following clips are from Charlie St. Cloud:

Charlie talks to Tess about her boat: (Charlie) "This will completely change your boat. There's no drag, no virtually cavatation." (Tess) "Yeah I know. I wanted to do something similar but everyone told me strutural stability was more important." (Charlie) "That doesn't apply here." (Tess) "Why?" (Charlie) "Because this eliminates direct stress on the heel. Are you serious? Sorry."

Charlie tries to distance himself from Tess: (Tess) "Charlie, it's okay." (Charlie) "I can't lose Sam, Tess. Can't lose Sam." (Tess) "Let's go." (Charlie) "No." (Tess) "Let's go." (Charlie) "The more I'm in your world, the less I can be in his." (Tess) "Charlie, at some point we all have to let go." (Charlie) "I can't lose Sam, Tess."

Charlie teaches Sam how to play baseball: (Charlie) "Put your hand up, palms up. Seems these white seams? That's the correct way to hold a baseball." (Sam) "Didn't know I was gonna get to go to baseball camp this summer." (Charlie) "That's cause rich kids go to camp Sammy. Do you have a trust fund you're not telling me about?" (Sam) "No really. No." (Charlie) "No you don't. But you know what you do have." (Sam) "Good looks?" (Charlie) "No, you got me. Get back over there. Hustle!"

MOVIE OPENING: 'DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS'

Opening today (July 30th) is the new comedy Dinner For Schmucks, starring Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and Zach Galifianakis. The film follows Tim, played by Rudd, a rising executive, who works for a boss who has a dinner in which the guest who brings the biggest loser gets to move up in the company. Tim reluctantly accepts and meets Barry, played by Carrell, a man who builds dioramas using stuffed mice, whose antics threaten Tim's business deals and the course of Tim's life.

Dinner For Schmucks is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Dinner For Schmucks was directed by Jay Roach.

Paul Rudd says his character will do almost anything to get ahead at his job: "A guy who works for this company and really wants to get ahead in the company, and is actually presented with this opportunity to join the elite and has feelings that maybe this dinner is not the most -- morally upstanding thing to do but will do it if he has to."

Steve Carrell says his character is inspiring: "He's not the coolest guy in the world, he's not somebody that is invited to a lot of parties, if any, so for him to have the attitude that he does about life and about himself and about other people I think is, is sort of inspiring and the fact that he can remain kind and steady through all of it."

Zach Galifianakis explains why he loves his character, Therman: "I love that -- a character that's really stupid and also confident. That's kind of a really funny thing to play."

Steve Carrell says Barry and Therman's relationship is complicated: "Barry believes Therman to have mind control over him. Therman is the imposing figure of Zach Galifianakis. And Barry is both in awe and has a great deal of respect and animosity toward this person. It's a very conflicted relationship because on one hand he idolizes Therman and wishes he could be more like him but he also hates him, detests him really."

The following clips are from Dinner for Schmucks:

Tim wants to buy Therman's book: (Therman) "Men lie to me a thousand times a day. My job is to find the truth. Right Barry? I've studied the human mind. I've learned how to read it and ultimately control it." (Tim) "This is fascinating, I can't wait to read it." (Therman) "It's $14.99, on my website." (Tim) "Okay." (Therman) "Plus shipping and handling." (Tim) "Even if I buy it here?" (Therman) "It's shipped from somewhere else. (unintelligible) been handling it."

Barry goes to a meeting with Tim: (Barry) "Where are you from?" (Man) "We are from Switzerland." (Tim) "Barry, you know what, we're gonna focus on business right now." (Barry) "Switzerland, I love Switzerland. It is one of my favorite countries. I love your army knives, with the toothpicks, and your cheese. Does the cheese come out of the cow with the holes? Our countries are not enemies, they are friends. We are friends." (Woman) "You have been to Switzerland?" (Barry) "No, but I have a friend who drives a Volvo and I speak a little of your language, (made up language)."

Tim gets invited to a dinner for the 'elite': (Boss) "Some people collect vintage automobiles. Some people collect fine wines, Fender collects people." (Tim) "People?"" (Boss) "Yeah. Each of us finds a remarkable person and invites them to dinner at Fender's. We call it the dinner for winners. Here's the guy that I invited last year. The guy designed that suit. A real life Iron Man. He took first prize." (Tim) "He's an idiot." (Man) "You got it." (Tim) "You invite idiots to dinner and make fun of them? That's messed up."

ELLEN DEGENERES QUITS 'AMERICAN IDOL'
Ellen DeGeneres has quit American Idol after just one season on the judging panel.

Ellen issued a statement on Thursday night, which read: "A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next."

She continued, "It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be."

Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said in the statement, "I loved Ellen's passion for the artists and her nurturing skills. She brought honesty and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly."

Ellen replaced Paula Abdul as a judge for the show's ninth season, joining Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi on the panel.

Simon exited the show at the season's end, prompting widespread speculation as to who will take his place.
